A confidential operating partner for the person running the place.
Weekly cadence. Written plan. Someone in the room who has had to make the same ugly calls. I am not your therapist, your lawyer, or a replacement COO. I am the private partner you can tell the truth to — and then we put the truth to work.
Consulting is when the institution is the client. Coaching is when you are. Therapy is for the interior life I am not licensed to treat — and I will say so if that is what is needed. Legal and HR calls stay with the people who carry those licenses.
How the work runs.
We do not wander. We analyze, we plan, we execute, and we hit milestones. Chemistry call first. Then a written 90-day operating plan. Then a weekly cadence until the package ends — or we renew on purpose.
Three packages. One price story.
Prices are public so we do not waste the first fifteen minutes. The work still starts with a conversation — not a checkout page.
If you're a sitting nonprofit ED or CEO, here's how confidential executive coaching works for nonprofit leaders.
| Package | Shape | Investment | Best for | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30-Day Focus Engagement | 4 sessions / about 4 weeks | $1,000 ($250 per session) | One bounded problem. Output: a written 90-day plan and a weekly decision cadence. | Discuss this engagement |
| Leadership Engagement | 8 sessions / about 8 weeks | $1,600 ($200 per session) | The default. A live operating problem that will take a quarter to work, not a week to name. | Discuss this engagement |
| Pro Package | 20 sessions / typically 4–6 months | $5,000 ($250 per session) | Multi-threaded seasons: transition, turnaround, board pressure, dual-role strain. Chemistry call required before this package. | Discuss this engagement |
In scope — and not.
In
Scheduled sessions (typically 60–75 minutes). A written plan. A simple scorecard. Between-session notes as we agree.
Not in unless agreed
Attending your staff or board meetings. On-site days. Doing the work your team is paid to do. Unlimited text access. Meeting observation happens only by written agreement, and it is not the default.
I have been in the chair.
I have also left it badly. Corporate seats, CEO seats, successful exits and unsuccessful ones. Ballet and museum operating roles. A consultancy that put me inside other people’s missions. The useful part is not the résumé line. It is knowing what the week actually feels like when the board packet is due and the number is wrong.
Questions that come up.
Is this therapy?
No. If the work belongs in therapy, I will say so. Coaching here is about the operating life: decisions, cadence, stakeholders, the week.
Who is it for?
Sitting EDs, CEOs, owners, and independent principals with a live problem. Not first-time managers. Not a general coaching practice.
How confidential is it?
What you bring in the room stays in the room, with the ordinary legal limits (harm, legal process). I do not use your name as marketing without written permission.
Virtual or in person?
Virtual nationwide. In person in Dallas–Fort Worth by arrangement.
How do we start?
A 20-minute chemistry call. If it is a fit, we pick a package. If it is not, we say so and you keep your morning.
Why not an ICF coach with a podcast?
Some of them are excellent. Hire them if that is the room you want. Hire me if you want an operator who has had to post the number.
